There are dozens of comic book conventions every year, so how do artists know which ones to table at? I’m documenting my experiences in hopes that they will help answer that question for others.

In this episode, I set up at a convention in my hometown of Wilmington, NC. Cape Fear Pop Culture Fest had their first show during the Summer if 2023 but I had to miss it for family reasons. From what I was told, it was a great show so would that carry over to this year?

This short answer is: Yes! Yes it did carry over!

Local shows are often overlooked by artists but are 100% worth your time!

Stick around and see how my experience was. And if you table at your local shows, let me know what your experiences are.

Thank you for watching!

From Sketch to Finished Illustration-How I Drew A Comic Book Cover

In this new From Sketch to Renders series, I’ll be pulling back the curtain and showing all of the hard work that goes into creating covers and posters for my comic book series Shinju.

In this episode, I’m showing you how I go from the initial sketch phase, to layouts, to finished inks and finally, how I render the final colors.

Also, one of my favorite websites to get 3d model poses from is https://figurosity.com/ I have used poses from there before and while I’m not sponsored by them, I do use the site frequently. It really helps with artist block!

My Artistic Journey: Drawing, Vlogging & Completing My Latest Comic Book | Studio Vlog Episode 01

In this new Studio Vlog series, I’ll be pulling back the curtain and showing all of the hard work that goes into creating and publishing your own comic book series.

In this first episode, I’m putting the finishing touches on two new products that will be released soon: an updated character handbook titled Shinju Handbook Update ’23 and a special bundle box aptly named Shinju: Amazing, Spectacular Bundle Box.

This vlog also gives a glimpse into the next issue of my series Shinju Universe and how I manage to keep my sanity while being isolated all day in my studio.

There are dozens of comic book conventions every year, so how do artists know which ones to table at? I’m documenting my experiences in hopes that they will help answer that question for others.

In this episode, I set up at a convention in my hometown of Wilmington, NC. Last year, the show was amazing with high attendance and even higher spending. Would that carry over to this year’s show?

Stick around and see how my experience was. And if you table at your local shows, let me know what your experiences are.
