Today, I’m going to recreate the G.I. Joe #46 comic book cover by Mike Zeck, published by Marvel Comics in 1986.

Recently, I was commissioned to re-create this awesome cover and used the opportunity to record the inking process. Initially, I had planned on used a Hunt 102 nib to ink this piece but after only a few lines I saw that would not work. The nib was not gliding over the paper as I wanted and actually pulling up fibers so I switched over to Copic Multi Liners.

This first video is about 3 hours of work compressed into 18 minutes.
